Announcing the Formation of the First “Regional Chapter” of SCS

SCS plans to support the formation of several “Regional Chapters” of SCS in various parts of the world. (These will serve geographical regions and will be distinct from “Student Chapters” that will be formed at particular colleges and universities.)  The first Regional Chapter to form is the Los Alamos/Northern New Mexico Chapter.  Eventually, it will host conferences that draw SCS members from the US Southwest and neighboring regions.  Its inaugural event will take place on September 19, 2019, and can be read about in this local newspaper article:
