Full-time faculty opening in Biology at Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, FL.

Ave Maria University seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Biology beginning in the fall of 2024.  Applicants with a Ph.D. in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology or a closely related discipline are strongly preferred. Candidates that are ABD or a have a MS degree with teaching experience will also be considered.  Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Ideal candidates would be well rounded in Biology and have the ability to teach a broad range of Biological courses. There will also be possible opportunities to teach courses in the areas of specialization within an undergraduate curriculum.  Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three references willing to supply letters upon request, a list of courses that can be taught from the Biology Department course selection (see the Biology sections of the course catalog here: https://www.avemaria.edu/academics/academic-catalog), and a short statement relating the University’s Catholic mission to their philosophy of teaching as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae (http://w2.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_jpii_apc_15081990_ex-corde-ecclesiae.html ).
