October 30, 2023 at 7:30 pm

The Notre Dame Chapter of the Society of Catholic Scientists will have a moderated discussion on Monday, October 30, at 7:30pm in Room 300 of Geddes Hall on the campus of University of Notre Dame.  The question discussed will be “What is the Proper Relationship between Faith and Science?”  The discussion will be based on Pope St. John Paul II’s famous letter to the Director of the Vatican Observatory.  which you can read here: https://www.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/letters/1988/documents/hf_jp-ii_let_19880601_padre-coyne.html
The moderator will be Heather Foucault-Camm, Program Director of the McGrath Science and Religion Initiative.
Note: someone will be in Geddes to let you into the third floor of Geddes (which will be locked), so please try not to be late!  There will be hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies.
